Auditions: Aladdin 2018

This year our Christmas panto will be "Aladdin", and as usual that means it's almost time to get started with rehearsals!

Ever thought you'd like to have a go on stage? Well now's the time to come along to the Aladdin auditions and show us your stuff. This year our Aladdin script has been written by some of our very talented theatre club members, Mary Sommerville and Kerwin Robertson, so you can get yourselves ready for some hilarious jokes and situations, hand crafted for our Culter audience!

Whether you want one of the main parts, a supporting role, or just to be one of our great chorus, young or old, we'd love for you to come along.

New CTC Logo & Website

You may have noticed our new Culter Theatre Club logo, which is now on our Facebook, Twitter and Website.  For many years we'd just used a basic "theatre masks" icon to represent the club, but recently we decided we should have our very own logo!

The new logo uses the letters "CTC" in a bold design that shows everything linked together.  The red colour stands for the stage curtains, the yellow the stage lights, and the purple for the Grampian mountains.  The black areas are also an integral part of the logo - as they represent our amazing back stage crew and all the people who work away without being seen.  In our logo they're right there making the rest of the logo work and just as important as all the rest.

We've also launched our new website, with a fresh new theme that is mobile friendly.  Our previous site had stood us well for many years, but didn't work well on mobile phones, whereas our new design should be much better when displayed on either a desktop, tablet or phone!

Annual General Meeting 2018

Annual General Meeting

It’s that time of year again when we have the Culter Theatre Club AGM at Culter Village Hall. We'll provide reports on the club, look back at what we've accomplished in 2017, and let you know what we're planning for 2018 - and give you the opportunity to let us know what you'd like to do!  We'll also be providing an update on finances and the accounts.

We are always looking for new members to join the committee to allow us to continue putting on productions to the high standard we are known for.  Our club members have a wide range of talents, from acting, singing, set painting, costume making, lighting and sound, painting, set construction and prop making. If you feel you can help us in any way, whether back stage or on stage we need you.

The future of the Club rests with the people that give their time and talents to help organise things, and we currently do not have enough people to do that. We urgently require Directors, Producers, Musical Directors and committee members for the club to continue.  

The AGM will run from 7.30pm and we'll have some refreshments available.  Kids - please ask you mums and dads to come along to the AGM if possible.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Snow White Tickets On Sale

Wednesday 6th December until Saturday 9th December. 7.30pm evenings and 2pm matinee on Saturday as well. Ticket prices are Adults £10 / Concessions £8.

Join Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Prince Al' Bridge-of-Feugh and Dolly and Danny as they look to thwart the plans of the Evil Queen Caligula and her nasty henchman Black Wing.  With lots of laughs, drama, song and dance this promises to be a great show!

'Allo 'Allo - Saturday Matinée Tickets Available!

FURTHER SATURDAY TICKET AVAILABILITY is now on sale, as we've added in a Saturday afternoon matinée performance (1.30pm) due to popular demand!

This hilarious comedy is once again being brought to life by Culter Theatre Club, after we first performed it in 2012.  We've got some familiar faces in the cast, and some wonderful new performers to get you laughing - just watch you don't snort your red wine while eating your Brie when you see René's sausage!

If you've been before you'll know what a great show this is, so let your friends know so they don't miss out - we expect tickets to go quickly as all the previous shows have been sell-out performances!

For the first time this year, we're even doing online ticketing so you can book tickets through our website partner "Ticket Tailor", by debit or credit card.

Performances are 7th, 8th and 9th September and start at 7.30pm, with the additional Saturday Matinée taking place at 1.30pm. It'll be café style table seating, and you can bring your own bottle and snacks (we'll provide nibbles too!) - then just sit back and enjoy the show!
