Excerpts from the script, songs and dances will be available on the night (you don’t have to memorise anything!). There are parts to suit everyone! Interested in a part (age 15+)? These are the available characters:

• PRINCESS AURORA: Sleeping Beauty; bright, practical and unimpressed by vanity.
• PRINCE CALLUM OF CABBAGE NEUK: An overlooked, ordinary-looking prince whose kindness and courage win the day.
• PRINCE HAMISH OF GLENBRAE: A handsome Highland hero who believes every problem requires a sword.
• PRINCE PERCY OF PUDDLETON: An exquisitely polite, anxious prince terrified of weather, wildlife and physical effort.
• PRINCE RONALDO OF BELLA-DONIA: A dazzlingly vain prince in love with his own reflection.
• KING FERGUS: Ruler of Fitever; enthusiastic, muddled and determined to appear regal.
• QUEEN MORAG: The real organiser of Fitever; sharp, warm and practical.
• DAME FLORA McFANKLE: Royal housekeeper, baker and self-appointed glamour icon; a razor-witted, drag-queen-style Dame with enormous costumes, fearless confidence and a soft heart she hides beneath sequins.
• MURDO: Flora’s well-meaning but chaotic nephew; the audience’s friend.
• FAIRY THISTLEDOWN: Good fairy of the North Wind. Speaks in rhyme when magic is working.
• FAIRY MERRYWEATHER: Good fairy of the Weather.
• FAIRY FLUTTERBY: Good fairy of the Forest. 
• MALICIA MACABRE: The wicked fairy; theatrical, furious and allergic to happiness.
• THE PROVOST: Master of ceremonies and chief official of Fitever.
• SHUG and DOUG: Two guards with one brain cell between them.
• NESSIE: A comic dragon/monster, ideally played by two or more ensemble members.
• ENSEMBLE: Villagers, courtiers, sprites, thorns, talent-show assistants and wedding guests.

What do you get when you combine a village full of eccentric characters, a much-loved sitcom, four packed audiences, and a very enthusiastic theatre club? One unforgettable run of The Vicar of Dibley!

Culter Theatre Club was delighted to perform to four completely sold-out audiences, with every performance filled with laughter from start to finish. Judging by the smiles, applause, and the snorts of laughter, everyone seemed to have a wonderful time—and we certainly did!

As if that wasn’t enough, thanks to the incredible generosity of our audiences during the post-show collections, along with a contribution from the club, we raised an amazing £1,500 for Comic Relief.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, laughed at the jokes (even the terrible ones), applauded at thr right moments, and donated so generously. Your support means the world to us and helps prove that a good night with your local theatre group can really make a difference.

Join the Vicar on the 5th, 6th, 12th and 13th of June for what promises to be an unmissable evening of blessed laughter. With a hilarious story, outrageous characters, and possibly even an outrageous wedding, you really won’t want to miss it.

The event is table seating, and we encourage you to bring your own refreshments. Adults and ages 16+

The CTC Committee is on the search for a Choreographer to join the production team of this year’s panto, and are looking to Club members and friends for your help to find that person.

Whether it’s you or someone you know who may be interested – be it with lots of experience or just getting started in the world of choreography, – we are keen to welcome and support someone with the right values and enthusiasm into the role.

Commitment is for Tuesday and Thursday evening rehearsals starting August through to show dates in the first week of December.

As for all our Club and production roles, the post is undertaken on a voluntary basis. Minimum age is eighteen and addition to the Club PVG Scheme required.

At the AGM we’ll provide an update on last year, and our plans looking ahead for the rest of the year.  We’ll also provide the usual update on finances and the accounts.

We are always looking for new members to join the committee to allow us to continue putting on productions to the high standard we are known for. Our club members have a wide range of talents, from acting, singing, set painting, costume making, lighting and sound, painting, set construction and prop making. If you feel you can help us in any way, whether back stage or on stage we need you!

The AGM will run from 7-7.45pm.  We’d appreciate it if you could let us know you’re coming by completing the online registration form.  We hope you’ll be able to come along and look forward to seeing you there.
