What do you get when you combine a village full of eccentric characters, a much-loved sitcom, four packed audiences, and a very enthusiastic theatre club? One unforgettable run of The Vicar of Dibley!

Culter Theatre Club was delighted to perform to four completely sold-out audiences, with every performance filled with laughter from start to finish. Judging by the smiles, applause, and the snorts of laughter, everyone seemed to have a wonderful time—and we certainly did!

As if that wasn’t enough, thanks to the incredible generosity of our audiences during the post-show collections, along with a contribution from the club, we raised an amazing £1,500 for Comic Relief.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, laughed at the jokes (even the terrible ones), applauded at thr right moments, and donated so generously. Your support means the world to us and helps prove that a good night with your local theatre group can really make a difference.

And Culter Theatre Club had at least one other happy audience member as well, when World War Two veteran, Jim Blair travelled all the way up from Glasgow for his 90th birthday and chose to see our production of ‘Allo ‘Allo.  Jim who has been much involved in amateur theatre in Glasgow voted the Culter production as “well worth the travel from the central belt”.
