What do you get when you combine a village full of eccentric characters, a much-loved sitcom, four packed audiences, and a very enthusiastic theatre club? One unforgettable run of The Vicar of Dibley!

Culter Theatre Club was delighted to perform to four completely sold-out audiences, with every performance filled with laughter from start to finish. Judging by the smiles, applause, and the snorts of laughter, everyone seemed to have a wonderful time—and we certainly did!

As if that wasn’t enough, thanks to the incredible generosity of our audiences during the post-show collections, along with a contribution from the club, we raised an amazing £1,500 for Comic Relief.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, laughed at the jokes (even the terrible ones), applauded at thr right moments, and donated so generously. Your support means the world to us and helps prove that a good night with your local theatre group can really make a difference.

We are especially seeking a talented actress to take on the iconic role of Geraldine Granger — warm, witty, heartfelt, and with impeccable comic timing. We’re also casting all main roles and supporting characters, so whether you’re drawn to larger-than-life village personalities or scene-stealing supporting parts, we’d love to see you. Enthusiasm, commitment, and a love of comedy are essential! Join us for a joyful, laughter-filled production and be part of bringing this classic British favourite to the stage.

PLEASE NOTE – as well as all the main characters, we are particularly keen to find our Geraldine Granger, however this part is the most demanding as it will be in most scenes of the show.  We can provide more information on request.

Following the success of Murder on the Disorientated Express in 2023, Culter Theatre Club, in conjunction with Ballroom Barney, are delighted to present an evening of showbiz, sequins, and sleuthing in ‘Seriously Ballroom! A Murder Mystery’.

It is the Grand Final of “Seriously Ballroom!” – the ultimate extravagance in Saturday night entertainment. Four celebrities and their professional partners have made it through, but only one can be crowned winner. All that stands between them and the Sparklyball Trophy are three final dances and four scathing judges. That is until.. a body is discovered backstage!

With a murderer on the loose and the authorities nowhere to be seen, it’s over to you – the live studio audience, to work out who done it! What could possibly go wrong..?

Join your hosts Jess Monthly and Claude Traitorman on the 13^th, 14^th, 20^th or 21^st of June for what promises to be an unmissable evening of dancing and detective work! One thing is for certain.. it’s going to be quite the cha cha challenge!
